Prairie Advanced Heart & Vascular Fellowship Opportunities
The Prairie Advanced Heart & Vascular Fellowship offers an multidisciplinary approach for physicians to obtain advanced training in Vascular Medicine, Endovascular Medicine, and Structural Heart Disease.
More cardiac and vascular patients are treated by Prairie physicians than any other program in Illinois. This provides an exceptional teaching and learning environment in which fellows receive a tremendous hands-on experience. One, two or three-month positions are available for qualified applicants. Fellows will work directly with our faculty treating patients with complex vascular disease, developing advanced endovascular skills, and applying cutting edge therapies to treatment of structural heart disease.
Prairie’s Vascular Fellowship focuses on evidence-based therapies. Our faculty are pioneers in the innovation and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the treatment of Vascular and Structural Heart Disease. All Prairie Vascular physicians are active investigators in multiple clinical trials. This provides our fellows first-hand experience with novel devices. Fellows will have direct involvement with cutting edge research and will be encouraged to publish from their experience.
In addition, qualified fellows can receive further training in complex coronary intereventions, such as complex chronic total coronary occlusions and participate in neurovascular interventions such as acute stroke interventions and coil embolization of cerebral aneurysms.
